Substitute Vocational Teacher in Cleaning and Service

The Adult Education in Umeå municipality is responsible for issues related to study and career guidance and adult education.

Education is conducted both in-house and through contracted providers. Within adult education, studies are offered in SFI, basic and general courses, vocational training, and adapted adult education at basic and upper secondary level.

We are now looking for a substitute vocational teacher with a focus on cleaning and service!

Employment Information

The position is a part-time substitute (75%), starting as soon as possible by agreement until 2026-06-15.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will conduct vocational training in cleaning and service in close collaboration with teachers in SFI. The teaching is based on national governing documents and goals as well as scientific foundations and proven experience. Collegial learning is a central part of the operation and constitutes an important driving force in the ongoing development work, where you actively contribute and create space for participation and influence.

As a vocational teacher, you have a good ability to build and maintain sustainable relationships with companies and industries, aiming to ensure quality and secure access to relevant APL placements. You see your mission in a larger context, where the goal is to guide and prepare students for the labor market and a long-term establishment in working life.

About You

We are looking for someone with a pedagogical education and experience with adult learners. You have knowledge and experience in cleaning and service work. You have fluent skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of English.

It is an advantage if you are a trained vocational teacher and hold SRY's vocational certificate for cleaning and home service, as well as if you have a PRYL vocational certificate.

As a vocational teacher, you are a clear and confident leader in the classroom who creates structure, study peace, and good relationships. You have good collaboration skills and work well with both colleagues and external partners.
